So I tried to download jive and it gave me this message....
The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have
BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have
connected to computer. Contact your wireless service
provider or system administrator.

Are you sure you selected the OTA download? I didn't by accident and got that error at first, too.
If all else fails, download it to your computer and use Application Loader to put it on your BB.

I'm pretty sure I downloaded the software correctly and I tried to use the BB app loader..
