So let's assume I dropped my BlackBerry Pearl from a pretty high drop. Let's assume the battery fell out and it's pretty broken. I'm also going to assume there's a sort of solid-state storage inside of it that isn't destroyed.

What kind of solid-state storage does it have?
Can I rig something up to get data from it?
If not, what should I do? I need my contacts and such.

Check the FAQ, all the info is there....

Keep a backup of your data. I would recomend doing so a couple of times a week or as you add something important to your device.

Ah well I'm actually already in that position so data backup won't work, lol. As for the FAQ, I couldn't find anything there about it.

Wirelessly posted (at&t BlackBerry 8310)

I realize that. I'm just saying for future refrence.

I made backups pretty regularly but I hadn't lately enough to get my new phone numbers out. =[
