This may be a noobie question, but as I don't know the answer, here goes!

I have an unlocked 8700c that I am using on Rogers. It has 4.1 firmware and I would like to upgrade to 4.2. Should I use the firmware for Cingular or Rogers? Will it make any difference?

Also, my scroll wheel jumps around alot. I may scroll one click down, but it will jump two or three spots, or maybe even go backward. Will 4.2 fix this as a buddy said it might?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

it makes no difference. Just use the latest OS. Actually OS 4.5 has been released for the 8700.

Get it here:

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000 4.6.0.67)

The carrier doesn't matter, each version has slight differences. Well, each version of the same OS. 4.5 has many enhancements over previous OS's.
