BlackBerry Unite is one addition that can do much of what MobileMe can do.

I think Mobile me is going to be a major player. It would be wise for apple to make it play nice with all devices and make it universal like Windows did for the PC.

Geez thier special offer is 30 bucks off if ya buy a mac. I think ya should get a year for free at the least if ya buy a mac. What a way to hose customers.

Also my understanding is it will only work with apple based addresses like .mac. So you can't use your yahoo, gmail etc address. I don't think they do email hosting either. So you'd be stuck with apple's address.

it uses their .me accounts and the old .mac accounts.

I agree with some above that it will be a player for those that are willing to pay for the service.

MobileMe is basically an upgrade to .mac. I remember a time when a year of free .mac came with new models.
