LED Indicator Problem

Alright, a guy at my company has an 8700 device and he is all of a sudden having an issue with the LED indicator. It doesn't do anything, because they are all turned off, until he gets into a call. As soon as he picks up the LED goes red and stays solid. He says it never did that before and he just wants to know why. Any comments on this?

In options -> screen/keyboard, is the LED coverage indicator on or off? Make sure it is on.

EDIT: NVM you said they are all turned off. I have no idea why it is red now, lol.

What is their battery level?
