New to a BB

I recently bought a BB (7230) off ebay because it was a lot less expensive than in the shops (true it does have a few scuff marks but I can live with that) and I am having problems with the internet. I have TMobile and I updated my APN but it still says "data connection refused" after I try and send the routing data request so I can get onto the net.

Another thing is that I dont have any browser on the main screen and I have been having problems finding them on the internet, is there a place where I can get one?

Oh yea, I upgraded to 4.0 before trying all this, anything that I forgot? I could have missed something very simple because this is my first BB, i used to have just a regular phone :\

You have to have a BB plan in order to get the browser and all the functionalities working. There are several threads available just typr browser on the search button and voila!!!

Repeat: You HAVE to have a "BlackBerry Data Plan" associated with the account. Having GPRS and the APN information will not get you any data access.

Yep... well, then you have to pay to keep it also.

With T-Mobile, the plan shouldnt be anything additional. I have their service in which I pay a flat rate for the phone service and unlimited data. Most carriers give you two spereate charges, which adds to a total, in some cases over 100. You can get 1000 minutes and unlimited data for near $60 if im not mistaken. Call them and figure out what the deal is.
