Hi. using Rogers wireless. Just got 7290. Do I need a data plan to do Pin to Pin messaging? I just have a voice plan

Yes you will. I tried a PIN messaging with a boost sim (nextel prepaid) and would not work. So basically you are going to need a data plan.

Yes, you need a data plan for Pin to Pin messaging. With a voice plan you have voice and SMS only.

^^ why is that offically retarded? You should not be able to reap the benefits of a deice without paying for the proper data plan, do you want your email also without a data plan?
