View Full Version : How do I dial a number spelled out in text?

For example 888-CITIBANK, 800-PICK-UPS, etc. I am not very good at visualizing the old keypad to remember the letters. Is there an alternate dialing method or something? This is kind of silly, but it is a real issue! I've found myself using Skype several times to call a credit card because I only had their number in text.

My wife had this same problem the other day when trying to check a train arrival time using USA-RAIL. That was a pain.

Not a pain! Easier than any cellphone.
Hold down the ALT key and spell out the word/letters
1 800 (ALT) FLOWERS... the BB ciphers the numbers to dial.

WOW, thanks!!!
This is great!!! The othr day i was trying to call the automated banking thing and couldn't figure out the number 800-YES-2000.
I actually asked the lady next to me to show me her normal cellphone so i could see what numbers the YES part corresponds to...
Thanks again fo rthis tip!!!

Just remember, on the Suretype keyboard, double tap the letters.

Just go to any of your favorite spots and mention my name and there FREE, just be shure to run out the door when you leave, they like that.
