Nearing completion for the web app - BerryFTP. The first html editor targeted to web administrators on the go. This application allows an admin to view the contents of their website and even make changes and updates right through the blackberry browser! Basic functions include: HTML EDITOR (also allows editing of php, java, perl, asp, or any other language viewable via the internet. FILE RENAME allows an admin to rename a file in their directory. FILE DELETE deletes a file. IMAGE DOWNLOAD allows the user to save pictures directly to their blackberry.

Upcoming Features:
FILE MOVE - move a file to another directory on your server
DELETE DIRECTORY - delete an entire directory folder (be careful)
NEW FILE - create a new file with your own script
NEW DIRECTORY - create a new directory on your server

I'm going to need a few beta testers for a couple weeks for bug reports, suggestions, etc... Please respond to this post with your email address and blackberry model if you are interested. If you would prefer to leave your email out of the public, PM me. Thanks!!

Just FYI, I believe RIM is working on including FTP into their OS. With the JDE 4.1 release, they have these files:

net_rim_escreen_gprs_ftp.cod
net_rim_cldc_io_ftp.cod

From inside it, you can see various text that shows its an FTP client:

...and they're adding an SSH client, as well. very nice additions that SHOULD be included for free.

This would be a really cool app. Is it just FTP, or will it support SSH?

it looks like they are putting a lot of thought into the 4.1 os imagine when thye they do updates on the 4.1. Looks like they are spying on us so they can implement their changes. This place has done a lot and i have seen it in tons of magazines and sites that mention it. Way to go
