change text colour for pin?

my dad's BB (can't remember exactly which model, one of the bigger ones) shows red text when he recieves a pin, but mine just show up black

when i searched the thread that talks about it says you can change it in your BIS settings. how do i do that?

You need to make sure your PIN messages are flagged as Level 1 messages.

Messages > Options > General Options > Make PIN Messages Level 1 = Yes

hm it was already set to level 1. is it because its a pearl that i don't get red text?

Or you could just be receiving an email, not a PIN.

It could be your theme and/version of your handheld software.
