Our company is migrating from Palm Treo 700wx's to curve 8330's. And gps seems to be our only hang up.

On the treo we were able to run TomTom which works GREAT, it seems like most gps software out there for the curve requires an internet connection.

Is there not anything that can run off of the flash card? We operate in places without cell coverage but still need gps capability.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

There aren't any GPS applications that don't require an internet connection. Also, the CDMA BB's GPS requires network signal in order to work, as well.

How about Trekbuddy?

I read here http://www.blackberryforums.com/gps-mapping/143373-nav4all-without-data-plan.html that it can used with the maps loaded from a media card...

Even if it does work, the cdma GPS receiver will not work without network coverage.

Who said anything about Verizon?

There I go jumping to conclusions... my bad. I assumed VZW based on 8330 model. I guess there's still some residual resentment towards Sprint from my bad experiences with them. I continue to block them out.
