Trouble opening midi attachment

I've e-mailed myself several e-mails that had midi files attached. No matter what I've tried, the file does not arrive in my BB with the paperclip indicating attachment, and, although the file does indicate there is an attachment (and names it accurately) there is no "open attachment" in the menu or any other such indicator of an attchment.

I have e-mailed other attachments and been able to open them fine -.doc file for instance.

As far as I know, there's no way to save a MIDI file from an attachment. That option isn't built into the current operating system.

You can, however, upload a MIDI file to a website and install it over-the-air. You don't even have to write a WML or HTML page around it. Just upload the file, enter the URL for the file into your BlackBerry browser, and the browser will take it from there.
