i have recently just purchased my new blackberry. I also have a MACBOOK...what do you recommend i do in order for me to coordinate my blackberry on my MAC?

only two choices - pocketmac & missingsync. One is free and one is pay. Plenty of threads in this section to see which one will suit you.

But, please keep in mind: 3 threads is enough.

You might consider going straight to a BES and avoiding having to synch through the computer completely. Of course, that adds expense.
