View Full Version : Unlock vendor themes?

Just tried to remove the vendor id's in the blackberry file as per the sticky/FAQ.

Are there really only 2 themes for the BBB? Nothing unlocked, no extras were to be found?

Did I do it wrong or is it true?

Honestly, I haven't loaded a Bold OS and looked at what's included. What theme .cod's are included in the java folder?

.134 has themes to unlock :)

.134 didn't really have any drastically changed themes, from what I saw. They had a different background image, some extra direct web icons and stuff ws moved around, essentially.

The 2 themes that shipped with Rogers look basically identicle. I'll browse the java folder later today. I saw the new OS on a blog this morning but the link wasn't a RIM url.

For anyone trying this on a Bold, don't bother. All Vendor themes are the same except for the background image.

I'd return the Bold. How could it have no Themes.

NJBB I was only trying to save people the trouble of unlocking a bunch of themes that are all the same.

The background pic is easy to change, but I miss my L theme. I personally think its total BS that the flagship Blackberry has only 1 zen style theme

give it a lil time bro... the device was made for phone calls, emails, communicaton, media capabilities etc - not for "cool" themes on the OS - they will come...

I have to agree with jscottcj and media is low on the list for many who want phone and email first. The media stuff is mostly for entertainment which I do not mind as long as it does not get into the way of my primary use of the Bold.

I know most will say way did I get the Bold. Well the screen is something to kill for and the keyboard is really nice!

i don't understand why the secondary screen background doesn't match your desktop image.

I'm still not using the bold :( Mainly because it hasn't come out to Spain yet... Vodafone ES says ... the 8th :D wooot!
