Hi

I'm attempting a firmware upgrade to 4.5.0.55 but the installer seems to have been stuck at Loading module "net_rim_crypto_cms.cod" for about 20 minutes. Seems to me like it has hung somewhere. If I end up having to unplug the USB cable from the BB, will it brick my phone?

Thanks
Mike

NO, it shouldn't brick your BB.

Unplug and and simply start the OS load again. AppLoader should tell you there was an error and offer to close. You might choose to close and restart the Desktop Manager before proceeding.

At worst, you might need to use JL_cmder to connect and load.

Thanks, I'll do that.

Well, if it's stuck on "Loading module...." it may brick the phone. If it's stuck on "retrieving module...." it won't brick it. However, if you've unplugged and the device is nonresponsive then you'll need this:
