Hi,

I lost my blackberry 8300, model RBP41GW yesterday. The person who has taken has switched off the mobile and hence no response. I have deactivated my sim. Is there any way I can delete or purge the data like contact numbers, pics, songs on the device by any means. It is important that these are not used for the wrong purposes.

Any help in this regard, I really appreciate.

I live in Dubai and Etisalat is the local communication provider for Blackberry.

Thks very much in advance.

There is no way to remotely wipe the device unless you are on a BES. There is a 3rd party application from DexMobile called RobLock but it has to be installed before you lose it.

Since you've switched off the sim there is no way to do anything to the device.

If you were on BES you could have. At this point deactivating the SIM you have no chance of tracking it down or deleting the data.
