world icon on top of phone?

I have a world icon on the top of my phone that won't go away. I think its for a new web page, but I've done everything I can think of to make it disappear and it won't.

Please help.

I believe it's a browser alert. If you've already opened it from your Messages window and "mark prior open"ed it, try a battery pull. Take out the battery while the phone is on and leave it out for about 30 seconds before putting it back in.

Yes, that is a browser notification. In your Messages icon/app, there is a corresponding browser notification. Just go in there and page thru (press Space bar to page down) and once you click on it the one on the main screen will go away.
