AT&T 8310 v4.5

AT&T from what I've read and searched for about an hour now has not yet released the v4.5 OS and is due to come out on Sept 24th. Does anyone know how to get around this? I went to a AT&T Store and one of the sales consultants had the v4.5 already, do I need to unlock the phone then install it from another carrier?

No, you do not need to unlock your phone for the upgrade. Just follow the instructions EXACTLY in this thread:

I followed the instructions exactly.
Double checked that the vendor.xml was deleted even deleted it from recycling bin.
DM won't prompt so I go to App Loader and go to Add / Remove App and says there are no available updates.

In the DM software, go to Help > About. And tell me what it says for the Device Software tab. Also, what version of DM are you using?
