Desperately need help whit connection to desktop device manager

Hello all I just buy a used BB 8800 series and I wanted to upgrade the phone to 4.5 or 4.6 SO, In order to do that I installed the latest version of the desktop device manager on my laptop after installation I restarted it and when I connect my BB to it its asking me for the device password I enter it but is not recognized (the password that I introduce it’s the same whit the one that I unlock the phone) please help me ,tell me what I’m doing rung e-mail me if have any sugestions

Check your cap lock, sounds like you are entering the wrong password somehow.

And also check to see if your are entering numbers.

Try changing the password on your blackberry, that may shake things up a little!

Thanks changing the password solved the problem
