are these message normal

I have had my bb 8330 for about 1 month now. Today I received 3 email messages supposedly from black berry. Is this normal? Why would they go via email on not just sent from blackberry through the system?


They read as follows or similar:

When you set up your DM did you click on redirector.

I didn't change anything in desktop manager so I wonder why I was getting those messages all of a sudden.
