new 8820 question

Hello guys
I just bought a new 8820 from ebay
It is black but has the "world edition" writing on the face like the 8830
Is that possible or I got the wrong phone?
The sticker behind the battery says 8820

Only the 8830 was world edition.

1. What carrier is branded on the face of the BB?

2. Power it up and look Options > About (or type ALT EACE on the main screen) What is the vendor ID there?

also it could just me that the original owners lens broke and that was the only one he could get his hands on... you never know... but yeah check the vendor ID and that will tell you/us all we to know

i did it and it is the 8820 indeed
the seller said that all chinese 8820s come with the "world edition" writing
