Hi there

I never owned a Blackberry but I think I want one now. I always had Windows Mobile devices, but I just can not stand it anymore. It's slow, buggy, and it gets on my nerves all the time.

Right now I have a HTC Tytn (first model) PDA/Phone.

One thing I like about it is that it doesn't interfere with computer speakers, and/or standard telephones headsets at my office. I work in a call center so I really need a phone that won't "tic tic tic tic tic" in my headset (and the people around me) all day long. Is it the fact that it is 3G? Or Quad Band? All the other phones I had did interfere, but not this one.

Right now this is the #1 feature that I am looking for.

Is the new Blackberry Bold the only 3G Blackberry ?

Thanks alot

S.

Could anyone with a non-3G Blackberry tell me if their phone makes weird noises in their computer speakers ?

And the 8130, 8830 and 8330. All are 3g. They might not work on Rogers but they are 3g.

I think all of the GSM phones make the noises on the speakers (at least I have never had one that didnt)

Just haven fun. ^^^ I think is has to do with the frequence of the BB or phone. I know CDMA ones don't and Nextel or Iden ones used to be the worst.

My current phone is a 3G GSM phone and it NEVER makes a noise in any speakers, headset or anything.

And that is the #1 feature I am looking for in my future phone.

I have a Curve 8310. When I put it next to my radio, it intereferes thie s**t out of it. When I put it next to my computer and I'm listening to music w/ my headphones, I have no problems.

I'm sure other users have had different experiences, I'm only speaking for mine.

Yeah sure everyone has their experiences, that's what I want to read, because I want to know what to look for in a phone, that won't interfere in my call center's headsets. (Plantronic type headsets)

BB 8800 don't notice it, but then I can't hear either - from years of flying. I do get a bit of noise in the car if the phone is too close to the radio however.

Wirelessly posted (T-Mobile 8320)

My 8800 used to make the pop noise. Its my understanding that GSM phones tend to do this.

Regarding the interference, check out the following link.

there are at least 3 solutions... I personally verified one of them.
