copying text from web pages

I'd like to copy text from the body of web pages, the cursor jumps over text and goes from link to link. I'd also like to copy some of the images also but can't unless the are links.

click the trackwheel to bring up the menu. Then hit "select mode" and then you can select and copy text...

Or hold down the left shift key, and scroll the wheel.

I guess I didn\'t explain well enough. In some web pages, the cursor will only highlight links. There is text inbetween the links in the body of the page that the curson just skips over completely. I can\'t seem to figure it out and the 2 previous replies don\'t quite help! Thanks anyway though!
