Hi all, just got myself a little 7100x and i'm wondering what cases are available?
(i dont trust the standard phones open top holster much...)
I want to keep this excellent little device in 1 piece if dropped/punted accidentally, or keep it safe in a fall if it vibrates itself towards hades.
I've found about 6 different cases so far mostly on ebay...
1. The cheap but possibly phone saving silicon case.
2. A leather back and plastic front krussel case.
3. BlackBerry 7100t 7100r - Aluminium Hard Case - PDair (decided to order this, hope it fits the x model or it may be hammertime.)
4. Blackberry 7100 Leather KROO Case (horizontal case?)
5. Blackberry 7100v Genuine Black Fusion Body Glove Case
6. PIEL FRAMA CASE for BLACKBERRY 7100T (very nice but expensive.)
Does anyone know of any other nice cases that i've missed?

Leather looks as if its nice quality not like a lot of others i've saw, lots of good feedback also. Tempted 8-)

Would be nice to have an aluminium case for the real chance of accidental abuse times and a nice leather one for the comfort option! Quite liked the fact with the aluminium PDair case you could access all the buttons without opening it.

Anyways my leather options have expanded by one, thanks!

btw downloaded pocketday pro and it looks like a top class BB addon program.

I bought that one off of ebay. It is very nice. Swivel belt clip, magnet to turn off BB, magnet in flap to secure BB7100. The only problem I had was the leather on the belt clip started slipping on the spring steel... A little super glue fixed that issue.

The one on ebay listed above is a keeper.

I bought one a while ago and my only gripe is that the swivel clip has lossened to the point of it just rotating freely (instead of rachetted like when I first got it).

However, everything else about the case works perfectly - fits perfect, sleep works, leather is quality.

Ideally, I wanted a horizontal pouch. And after buying 3 others, I consistently come back to this one. The other horizontal cases I ordered always had something really wrong with it, ie. cheap leather, not a good fit, no sleep (even though they advertised that it did), etc.

I've that case off Ebay also, for about 7-8 months, it is still in good shape. Good quality leather, etc.

Same as all the above. I got it, and love it.

Now, if I could only say the same about my 7100g... :-(

What about a case that will fit 7100t + 1800mah battery w/battery door that makes the 7100t a little thicker?

I also bought the case off of eBay and the first one I was very impressed with. I ordered a second one and it looks like the craftsmanship has taken a turn for the worse.

The belt clip is not as strong, in fact it is so stretched out after only 1 week that it barely stays on my belt. The smallest force on it will knock it off. Also the leather piece that covers the belt clip continually comes off when removing the holster from the belt.

I was so impressed with the first go around with this case, this second one was very disappointing.

Just my 2 cents.....

I have the Krusell multiadapt http://krusell.se/product.php?s=2&product=1834 and it fits with the extended battery, believe it or not - surprised me too - but after some use, as much as I love it, I miss the sleeper function and I think the plastic is starting to get a little milky - plus you can hit the wrong key in composing messages easier with that because of the plastic cover.

I'm going to try the ebay one and see if that works -

I take back every word, I would HIGHLY recommend this case and especially this seller to everyone. I sent him just a quick FYI email and received a response that day solving the problem.

Just wanted to say a very very nice experience dealing with this individual and would recommend both his product and himself as a seller!

I too love this case - not tight at all - fits with the bigger battery - doesn't cover the sound - protects but doesn't make it difficult to access - the magnetic clip is awesome. Perfect case - I should buy a couple more because I always do something to destroy my favorite case right before I travel somewhere.

i found these hard cases are very nice and look very good they are made from aircraft aluminum it fits very nice the only issues i have them are that you cannot see the whole screen when typing but it does have holes so you can talk and type while in the case but i usally pull mine when i get to the office and only use that hard case when i am outside i found them very cheap on ebay for about $15 and it comes with a generic car charger and a travel wall charger. or you can buy direct from these guys.

I splurged and got a Vaja Case http://www.vajacases.com/home_en.html

It's a thing of beauty, but very expensive (~US$100) for the lower end leather, no monogramming.

It fits like the proverbial glove, and the clip is very strong.

Two nits:

1) there is no cutout for the "escape" key on the side, although it's fairly simply to depress it through the leather
2) there is no cutout for the power button, it is possible to depress it through the leather or open the clip.

OK, another:

3) The cutout around the wheel is very precise. I wish the trackwheel was made out of a different material, more of a "stickier" rubber. It's easy to "slip" off the wheel while trying to make it go "up or down". This is after about 2 weeks w/ the case, w/ daily use. It might become easier as the leather breaks in. I've rubbed shaving cream into it to try and soften it (old baseball glove trick).

High quality all around. I did put a Palm clear plastic screen protector on the case, as it appears if it gets scratched, then the entire case is gone.

Finally, this site has some decent case reviews http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/

I have yet to buy this for my 7100t but if you like leather and good quality try: www.senacases.com

I have a Sena case for my old cell and my PDA. Loved them both and I know I won't be dissappointed if I go with them again. Only reason I have not bought it yet is I am debating with myself..Speck case or Sena? Vaja is cool but way too much $$$$l

I just bought a great one from extremepda.com. Cost $25 plus shipping. It enables the sleep mode on my BB. I give them 5 stars!!!
