Battery and heating prob with my 8310

i am new to this site as i am looking to solve a problem. I have a 8310 bb but the phone gets extremely hot also this affects the battery life i have to charge at least 3 times daily, can anybody help me in solving this problem?

I would try another battery

I've heard of some OS's causing the battery to heat up. Try upgrading to the latest OS. Follow the directions in this thread EXACTLY:

I would recommend either trying a different battery OR upgrading the OS to the latest 4.5

well i have tried a different battery and it still heats up. what causes the battery to heat up

that's weird, I've never heard of anything like that...
Have you taken it to your service provider? Sounds like that's the best bet at this point... Maybe the phone is defective?

i am gonna try upgrading the os to the 4.5 , although i would like to know how could the os cause the battery to heat up?

If the os has a bug that causes the processor to constantly run at 100%, all of that electrical activity creates energy released in the form of heat.

hey sorry for not updating but i upgraded to os 4.5 and all my problems have been solved!!! thanks for the help
