Hi all,

Just realized yesterday I've saved all my contact info to the phone instead of the SIM card.
I was told by a friend I can save all my contact info to my laptop if anything every happened to the phone I'd have everything saved to easily transfer to a new phone.

I know this is something most of you can probably do in your sleep but it is new to me!
Can someone direct me where to go or what things are needed to do this.

Much thanks,
Mike

I know this gonna sound really dumb...but how do I get the Desktop Manager onto my laptop? Is this a program that came in the box with the BB?

..and/or sync to Outlook. Just about everything syncs with Outlook these days which is handy if you need to switch to some other device down the road. A BB backup can only be restored to a BB, IIRC.

Or if you have an Apple computer you can use PocketMac.

Or if you use Lotus Notes at work, just perform the "actions, synchronize address book". It works great! Update in either place, it then places it in both...
