My browser keeps telling me my BES isn't setup..I don't have BES.
I bought the data plan from Sprint and now have no idea how to get my browser to work..

Any help?

Did you buy the BB used? If so, it could still have the old IT policy on it.

Welcome to the forums!

What happens when you try to go online. Do you get an error?

Thanks for the welcome :)

I bought the Blackberry new from the Sprint store..texts & calls work great..
The error I get is:
Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device.

But they should have enabled it when I got it, shouldn't they?

Go to options > advanced options > host routing table > menu key > register now.

See if that helps.

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? or a generic data plan?

I did the registration sent thing, do I wait now or should it have been instant?

As for the data plan..it was sprints talk/text/data plan, the guy at the store said that was the one I had to get for blackberry (either that or talk/text).

You should get a message in your inbox saying thank you for registering...

in the upper right corner of the screen do you see a 1X or 1XEV in capital letters?

Didn't get that message in my inbox. I have a 1X on the top.

When you go into the host routing table. Are there any entries in there?

Nope, no entries :(

Try to pop the battery out for 30 seconds (with the device still powered on) and then try to register again.

tried that, re-registered. No message showed up and no entries in my host routing table.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan - not sure what the plan is that you got. I suggest you call customer service.

hmm..alright..I kind of thought so but the guy at the store never mentioned them even having a blackberry data plan..he said that I needed either the plan I got or the same plan without data...
