Can I use an 8700c with sprint?

I have 8830 using sprint as carrier. My husband has an 8700c given to him by a friend. We wanted to activate it, sprint tech support told us they couldn't help with that, that it could be done but we would have to go through a forum. Is it possible to take the 8700c and use it with Sprint carrier service. Tech said sprint doesn't use sim cards (?) Thanks in advance for any help.:?

It is not possible to use an 8700 on Sprint. The 8700 is a GSM device and Sprint is CDMA. There is no way to do it.
