View Full Version : Media Manager Question

I installed the media manager (roxio 9.0) that comes with the desktop software and every time I open the application, it tries to copy music files from my mp3 PC folders and ties up the application. I can't find a place to disable this action anywhere on the media manager application. Nothing is set to auto search as far as I can tell. Anyone know how to kill this thing? Thanks.

You really don't even need the Media Manager application for a 7290, no purpose at all.

So how do I get pictures on there? Noob...

Email them to yourself.

The 7290 has such low device memory and there is no media card capability, pictures need to be very very scarce on that device.

Do you know how much memory it has exactly? Is there any way to increase memory?

Basically, all I want to do is find a way to update/sync addresses/contacts, add a few pics and maybe a ringtone or two. It's proving to be a huge pain to do these simple things. I downloaded the Desktop Manager software and madia manager for this and they have not been much help.

I got my contacts updated but I still am not able to get pics on there. I emailed some to myself and I don't see a way of downloading the attachments. The Attachments application is listed so it should work.

Your memory is limited with that device.

Thanks for the advice. I decided to return the phone. I am getting a T-mobile G1 instead.

Good move. Much more consumer oriented.

I am interested in learning more about that phone.

Return the phone? Return it where - I was not aware that these are being sold anymore as they are so out of date?

It seems to me that you were taken for a ride by the people that sold it to you, and I would definitely be careful about buying a G1 from them.
