I have an 8800 that won't boot! The red led stays solidly lit for a few seconds after putting in the battery and then nothing else happens...

I've tried using JL_Cmder to reinstall the OS but it wouldn't connect so I went about it the alternate way and it goes thru the first couple steps and then when it tries to reconnect it fails and gives me the message, "could not reconnect during multistage load operation".

Is there anything else I can do to try to get this thing to boot up?

In china,we usually first wipe the phone and your phone will demonstrat "error 507",after this ,use the desktop to load the application(before this ,you should install the os and delete the vendor file in you computer).it will process maybe 30~50min.i have used this to repair my 7100x,now,i have a 8800,hahahaha
