I am aware of Opera, been using 4.2. Was wondering if Netscape, Firefox etc have similar versions?

Great forum. Very informative.

Thanks

I think that opera and the native BB browser are the only ones available. Either that or they are the most widely used

It would be nice if there was more competition.

I did see last night on CrackberryAppstore that there is another browser. But it's not free. It's like 19 to 29 dollars and it's very ugly. I wish firefox had one or is BIS allowed you to have numerous web apps up.

I don't understand -- how is BIS restricting you?

I had to put the (dot) in there cuz of this stupid 10 post count rule. Also add 3 w's.

How memory intensive do you think it would be to just have multiple tabs support? With my extremely limited miniOpera experience, I can't remember if they did tabs. I think so - thats MY biggest complaint with the stock BB Browser..

It might not be too bad for a smartphone like the BB, or a WinMo device. Remember though, Opera Mini was actually created to provide a full browser experience on dumb phones. That's why there is so much concern over minimal use of resources. As it turns out, it performs so much better than IE Mobile and the BB browser (for some) that everyone wants it.
