Hi, i just tried to turn on my phone this morning and nothing happened! So i tried plugging it in to a charger and it came up with a white screen with a picture of a battery with a lightning bolt through it... I have tried to find information in FAQ's and in the phone manual but to no avail. My phone is a 9500 BOLD and it is only about 2 months old.. Thank you for any help or advice you can give!

Do you mean it's a 9000 Bold. I would try charging it for at least a few hours before trying to turn it on, if not you might have a bad battery.

Yes sorry a 9000 bold. Is that what the symbol of the battery with the lightning thru it means? I wasn't able to get an answer for that off the official site or out of the manual..

It usually means the battery is totally drained and not enough power to turn on the BB.

Welcome to the forums, that just means the battery is in dire need of a charge. Charge the device for a few hours and then remove and reinsert the battery.

Hmmm well i charged my battery overnight and when i turned it on i got the usual white loading screen for about 3 seconds then it completely died again and when i plugged it into the charger it gave the message that my battery is completely drained. I'm guess that my battery has dropped a cell or something so i have bought a new battery just waiting for it to arrive and hopefully all will be good!

Leave the battery in the device to charge either on the wall charger or the PC's USB cable if you know that it is charging that way. Leave it a couple of hours, and then with it still plugged to the USB, remove the battery a few seconds and reinsert. Let it boot up if it will AND leave it to charge. Check Options > Status for the battery charge percentage AND let it charge to 100% before removing from the USB.

Oh no it won't even boot up, as soon as i try to turn it on the battery dies, even if it's still plugged in.
