Good afternoon,

We are currently experiencing problems when synchronizing BlackBerry devices.

We are using BES 4.0 and on Microsoft Virtual Server.

We are unable to do a wireless activation on the BlackBerry device has we get a message, "An error occured, contact your system administrator".

We then have to try synch using a usb cable which is really annoying because it can take 2 or 3 synchs just to get the calendar to work (Microsoft Exchange) which means removing and adding the user on the bes and wiping the handheld. The whole process takes about a hour.

Does anyone know if this down to the server been virtual?

163 users on the BES. After a synch we will end up getting the device back about a week later because it lost synch...

Can anybody help?

You're definitely running an unsupported configuration, but I don't know if that is necessarily the root of your problems.

For starters, you should upgrade your BES to 4.1.x, which is certified by RIM to function in a VM.
You should also switch to VMware ESX for your Virtual Environment. Microsoft VM is not supported by RIM.

Once you're running a supported configuration, troubleshooting your activation issues will become easier.
