Disable auto email reconciliation?

I've set up a couple accounts with BIS but I'd rather the email only be pushed to the phone when I call it (I guess that means I want to pull it rather than have it pushed).

Is this type of setup possible? I didn't see an option in any of the settings.

There is no pull/push setting on the BB. You could either disable data services when you do not wish to receive email, or you could login to your BIS site and temporarily disable forwarding for each email account. I don't believe what you want to do is possible by way of a device setting.

Generally the recommendation is to just change profiles so you're not alerted to incoming email. You may need to create a new profile or edit an existing one to suit your needs.

Just because email arrives doesn't mean that you have to open it. ;-)
