Blackberry state database

We are trying to sync a blackberry 7290 and this is the message we are getting:

"the design of the blackberry state database has not been upgraded. Email syncronization cannot continue."

Any idea???

Since no one has replied, I'll throw out the old standby --

"Re-transmit your service books".

(If that doesn't work, it won't break anything.)
