I have music stored on 4 gb card...when I get the 16, is there a way to move it over from the 4? Also, when I save apps they are to the hard drive not the storage card right?

the best way to move the media from one card to the other is to copy one to the PC, and then back to the new card.

And, yes, applications on the BB are in the device memory, not the media card.

There is another more direct way to transfer files that avoids saving stuff to the hard drive. If you have a MicroSD Card reader, just pop your old card in that and plug it into a USB port. Your computer will recognize as it a new drive. Your new MicroSD card should be plugged into a second USB port, and your compuer will also recognize that as another new drive. From there, you can directly copy and paste files from one drive to another. I did that when I got my 16GB MicroSD card and it worked super fast.

You mean put the new card in your phone hooked up to USB, and the old card in the micro SD reader to do the transfer right! :)

You could do it that way, or if you have a second Micro SD card reader, you could put the new card in that and pop that into the second USB port. Personally, that's what I like to do, but you could always leave the new card in your phone and hook it up as well.

I think that makes 3 of the different ways to do it! In the end it gets done! LOL :)

Four ways.

I place the new card under my tongue, and then hold the old card tightly why inserting it into a nearby 110v electrical socket.

That way I don't need the BlackBerry at all. I hear the music all day long and see nice images in front of my face!

Would that work for 220v outlets as well?

LMAO, ok but seriously with NO TONGUE involvement here..I just got home with my new 16gb card and want to start the transfer. I dont have a little card reader thingy, so How do I save the songs from my 4gb to my PC? DO I do it via BB program on computer?
can you pass on some steps for me?

ok, the no card reader method, read my first post above.

With the old card in the BB, copy all off to the PC, insert new card, copy all back from the PC to the BB.

well I tried doing that...not sure what I was doing wrong, so just ended up forgetting the 4gb card and instead getting into an I tunes list...I just downloaded 501 songs off the computer I tunes, (took forever) actually fell asleep. Now they are all there, but BB is running just a tad slower, is this normal?

on edit I see that I have 12.9 gb free under the memory portion in device options.

I just bought one here: flashmemorystore.com for about $69. It seemed like an OK price...

Amazon is usually a great place for inexpensive cards as well.

There is a 16gb on Amazon right now for $54.99.
