I've always wondered, why are BlackBerry 7520's not capable of sending (or properly receiving) text message? At first I thought it was the iDEN network, but no one with this device is able to send txt msgs. Do we know if the 8530i be text message capable?

The 7520 is capable of sending text via mms if you have OS 4.1.

You need to have OS 4.1 or higher. This also identifies the sender of your incoming texts.

Naked Wife, I have 4.1 OS on my 7520, yet i've never seen the option to MMS under 'messages.' do you know where that option is?

thanks for the info

On mine its the 5th option when you click the track wheel in the messages screen. "compose MMS". Do you have a BlackBerry Data plan? When I wiped the device once while it didn't have service the option disappeard like the browser. When I reactivated it the option came back when I re sent the service books. Also if you are on a company BES the IT guy can disable certain features, MMS being one of them.
