Wifi, SMS, Instant Messenger

Hi,

I am new to the Blackberry community. I just purchased my Blackberry Pearl 8120 with Wifi. I've heard from people that with wifi, I can use the Pearl as though it has the data plan. (I live on campus, so I'm surrounded by Wifi) I was wondering if there is some sort of program I can download onto the Pearl that will let me take advantage of the Wifi so that I can send text messages and instant message for free?

Text messages will not be free even with Wifi. You'll still be charged for them.
