Can't get Google Sync

OK, first, what I'm running:

Pearl 8100, OS 4.5.0.102

I have an older version of Google Sync that I had from when I was running 4.2. I want to get the new Google Sync that syncs calendars and contacts. When I input my phone number on the Google Sync page on the web, I am told that my phone number is invalid. When I attempt to DL OTA, I get a message that Google Sync is not supported for my phone.

ANy ideas? I have battery pulled and re-sent sevice books, with no help.

Figured it out. My broswer was set as Pocket IE Emulator, not BlackBerry. I changed to BlackBerry and it allowed me to install without a hitch.
