BB 7250, AOL Instant Messenger, and Incoming Calls

I have a Treo 650 right now and I'm ready to jump ship and join the Blackberry wagon. One minor issue that I have right now is that when I am using AOL Instant Messenger, the Treo is actively using a data connection and I cannot receive incoming calls. All incoming calls go directly to voicemail.

On the Blackberry, since the voice and the data plans are separate, will incoming calls actually ring on the phone during an active AOL Instant Messenger session (or while surfing the web) or does it go straight to voicemail as well?

data ties up the phone but only while sending a message and while actually loading a page

Look into Cingular (7290) is they use GSM for voice and GPRS for Data. I thin that you can do both simultaneously.

this is why my bb is data only and have a i860 for voice
