I know, I know, exactly the same besides cosmetic changes and one or two differences. But the reason I ask is because I have an 8700c that is unlocked and my mom has a 8700g, and I was wondering should I ask her to change it? Keep in mind that she doesn't have the phone yet. But what are exactly the changes between the both and which is overall better? What is MyFav from T-Mobile? Do I need to have it in my plan or does it come with any and all T-Mobile customers? I have T-Mobile btw.

A My-Faves service plan will need to be added to your T-Mobile account to get the feature. I am not sure that the 8700 series is capable of supporting My Faves, though.

The 8700 does not support My Faves. Although I did talk to a t-mobile rep and they said that you can use the my fav's service on the 8700 but you would have to log into your t-mboile account and select who's numbers you want as your my fav's

The 8700 will not support the myFaves app. But myFaves will still work because you can set the faves on My T-Mobile.

To the OP, myFaves is an optional plan. It has unlimited calling to 5 contacts. It's a whole different plan though, not an add-on.
