I accidentally erased a folder with .jpgs in it from the SD card using the built in picture viewer. Can they easily be recovered?

These weren't priceless photos, so it isn't a big deal, but if there is some easy way to do it, I'd like to know.

Update.

I tried a Windows freeware program called Recuva.

It saw tons of deleted files on the card. It saw the ones I was interested in recovering. However, they were all too heavily damaged to be recovered. I deleted the whole subfolder, and I wonder if that delete method was somehow more "effective" at deleting than would have been deletes of individual files.

Interesting. Any thoughts?

The latest copy of the 2600 magazine has an article about recovering files from media cards.

Wirelessly posted (Pearl Flip 8220)

Try windows freeware program "Restoration Undelete"
It works well on hard drives & memory cards & has recovered some important files for me.
