Blackberry manager wont open

I just installed the blackberry manager on my pc and everytime i try to open it, my blackberry keeps connecting then disconnecting to my pc. I cant open the manager and i need help. Does anyone have a solution.

What version of Desktop Manager, What OS is on you PC and what OS are you running on your BlackBerry, Are you still using the 7250 stated in your profile?

My OS is 4.0.2.41. I am still using my blackberry 7250. I'm using the Service Pack 1 (multilanguage)

Ok, what OS are you running on your computer? (2000, XP, Vista)

And which version of the desktop manager do you have? (version 4.1?)

I have windows vista. I think I have version 4.0

HHmm, I don't know if version 4.0 is compatible with Vista. Are you able to try 4.1 or 4.2.2?

that's what I was thinking. I'm going to install version 4.2 service pack 2. Hopefully that works.
