need some help

My mom found a bb 8700 for att/cigular. She wanted me to check it out to see if it was usable so I did. Once the battery was charged it had a error code 507. Now I know what it means but how do I recover the os on the device?

507 means there is no OS. You will need to install an OS on the device.

Agreed. Error 507 should be easy enough to recover from, be patient.
