New here and need some help

Hey whats up/ I am new here. I been holding on to a blackberry 7250 for about 5 months and never activated it. I read the blackberry F.A.Q. but wanted to make sure this is right. I dont need a data plan in order to use this as a phone right? I dont have a job where I am since job openings are hard to find. As soon as I can get a job I will buy the data plan. I just need it as a phone for right now.

It is fine as a phone with no data plan. However, I believe VZW will require you to have a Data Plan to have that BB on its network.

Other carriers like ATT and TMO do not require that.
