So my telus 8330 has gps however in the 2 weeks I've owned it, gps has only been accurate once. Everytime I use it, it says it cannot acquire the satellites and is only accurate within 900 - 2000 meters which defeats the purpose of having gps. I updated to software 4.5 and it still doesn't work what can I do to fix this?

To GPS, you need to set Location Services On. Then to acquire the sats, you need to be outside with a clear view of the sky. It can take 20 minutes or more to lock on, especialy for the first time. One reason for the long time is that the device needs to download the ephemeris table so it knows where to "look".

I recommend downloading and installing GoogleMaps to help the GPS decide where it is. GoogleMaps can locate you within 2000 meters using cell tower triangulation. It seems to help if the device actually knows where you are as it searches for satellites.
