I use a bb7250 and I love it. I was wondering what other subscribers think in terms of best BB device and why? I think the 7100 series have great screen but the sure type keyboard looks like a pain in the butt to use.

The "best Blackberry" device is very subjective. Different types of users have different needs and preferences.

Myself, as my communication is more e-mail centric, I prefer the 7200 series form factor with a full qwerty keyboard. Others who are on the phone more may prefer a 7100.

Form factor preferences aside, if we were to compare devices by capability....well let's just say this changes all of the time with new devices and new operating system releases.

I used the 7510 and the 7520...Today I picked up the 7100i and it has the suretype technology...I'm not sure what the big deal is with people typing on this phone. It works perfectly for me, and I type probably 50 emails a day...as long as you don't look at the screen while typing, it works flawlessly.

Now I'm far from the world's best typist. But not looking at the screen while typing can't be the best arrangement. At least as far as speed and accurancy is concerned. That statement runs counterintuitive to the way most touch typing is taught and practiced.

7520 on an iDEN network. Sure you don't get the fastest data speeds, and you
are limited to Nextel (in US) and Telus (? in Canada), but you do get great building penetration with external antenna, Direct Connect (DC) 2-way radio, GPS, and a speakerphone. The 7520 also has neat-o backlighting, full querty keyboard, slim width (relatively to 7510 or 7230), is black instead of blue, bluetooth (headsets), and 32MB of storage - which the 7290 also seems to share. But the first four seem to be iDEN exclusives, at least for now with the full qwerty models.
