Does anyone recommend ditching the Desktop Manager and use the Web based upgrade system they have out there now? I use the Desktop manager to sync my contracts between outlook, so would it even be ideal to use the web based upgrade system? Or should I just stick with the desktop manager?

My desktop manager got flaky on the last OS update. Feedback?

The Web Desktop Manager is only for users in a BES environment, it's ment to make managing business BlackBerries easier so the desktop manager does not have to be installed on 'x' amount of computers.

What types of problems are you having with the desktop manager? (Include Computer OS, Desktop Manager version, and which OS you are using on your 8130._

I tried Desktop Manager 4.5 and 4.7, and continue to have issues while syncing. It gets hung up on 2 or 3 items and will not complete. On my 8130 my os is: v4.5.0.77. Is this the latest or is there a newer one out? My phone is a Verizon phone.

What are you using Syncing with?
Exactly which PIM item is it getting hung up on, Calendar/Tasks/Memo/Contacts?
Any Error message?
What OS are you running on you computer?

The newest os's don't need desktop manager at all. The update can be performed using loader.exe built in to the os. Latest for the 8130 is .131.
