Hi all!

Iím moving to Europe soon however I have a Verizon 2 year contract with my Blackberry 8330.

The cancellation fee is something around $175 and was planning to sell the equipment on ebay. Is there any chance that the buyer takes my contract?
Should I cancel it first and then sell it? Does it worth it? Any other idea?
Please let me know what you think I should do, in order to make some money out of it !

Thank you,
Mike

I don't think you can "sell" your contract... It is a contract with your name on it... Unless you trust someone enough personally to take care of your contract I wouldn't do that...

You can transfer the contract if you know someone who will take it over. VZW does pro-rate the ETF though.

thank you for the replies. What you mean by: pro-rate the ETF?

What is your suggestion then? That I pay the cancellation fee and sell it afterwards?

how much time is left in your contract? if you've got enough dough to move to europe, i would surely think you could afford ponying up the $175 fee!

I still have one year missing until the contract ends. I just dont feel like wasting money whenever there are other options...

I think every month you have they knock off $5.00. Have you called them and asked what the cost is. You could sell the BB to cover the cost.
