Charging Blackberry 8820 via USB

Hello,
I have misplaced by power adapter for charging and was:-( told that I can charge using any USB cable. However, any time I try this either with my laptop or desktop, I get the following error:

USB charging current is not sufficient. Verify that your handheld is connected to a powered USB charging source and that the proper USB driver is installed.

Any ideas on resolving this? I have been searching for drivers but not very successful so far. Thanks.

Download and install Desktop Manager to your PC.

Some PC's and Laptops wont power the USB port to an unknown device so that's why the DM install. Most will though. Maybe you have one that wont
